
- What is Apprenticeship training:
Apprenticeship training is on-the job training in industry under the provisions of Apprenticeship Act 1961. it comprises basic Training practical Traning and Theoretical Classes as per prescribed syllabus.
- Who Can undergo Apprenticeship Training:
Aperson,who has completed 14 year of age,is physically fit and posses minimum educational qualification prescribed for a trade can undergo Apprenticeship Training .Those passing from industrial training center in relevant trades get rebate in period of Apprenticeship Training.
- Where one can undergo Appernticeship Training:
one can undergo Apprenticeship Training in establishment where seats have been located.In respect of establishment in the state public sector and pivate sector seats are located by the respective state Apprenticeship Adviser and respect of establishment in the central public sector and department falling under the jurisdiction of the Regional Directorate of Appernticeship Training center ,kanpur along with trade in which seats have been located in these establishment is given in table.
- Stipend:
A trade apprentic gets stipend @ Rs.820p.m.for 1st year, @Rs940p.m. for 2nd year,Rs.1090p.m.for 3rd year @1230p.m.for 4th year.
- What is the benefit:
The apprentices acquire skills,which help them in getting wage or self-employment.
- Certification after completion of Training:
At the end of training the apprentice appear at an all India Test Conducted by the National Council for Vocational Training Successful apprentices are awarded National Apprentices are Certificate,which is recognized qualification for employment.
- Reservation:
Seats are reserved for Sc/St Candidates and person with Disability.
